Reinhardt University’s Diverse Talents and Scholars Program attracts students with academic and leadership aptitude to its learning community. Following a thorough review process, the University invited its strongest applicants to campus on November 14, 2025, to interview for the top scholarship awards. On this Day for Diverse Talents and Scholars, dozens of impressive high school seniors, accepted for Fall 2026 enrollment, met with a panel of faculty and staff. They discussed their achievements, goals, and potential contributions to campus life.
By the end of the day, 32 rising freshmen received the top academic scholarship awards, including three Presidential Scholarships, 22 Mary Jane Reinhardt Sharp Scholarships, and seven Diverse Talents Scholarships. The Presidential Scholarship honors students with an academic grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 or higher, a commitment to service, and goals in liberal arts, sciences, or high-need fields like nursing and STEM. The Mary Jane Reinhardt Sharp Scholarship awards students with a GPA of 3.2 or above and are actively engaged in service. The Reinhardt Diverse Talents Award supports students with a 2.7 GPA or higher who have the potential to be leaders, innovators, and active contributors to campus life.
Recipients join the Diverse Talents and Scholars Program, a program offering its members engaging opportunities to build community and make the most of their college experience. “The program structures an environment of student engagement with the campus,” explained Dr. Ken Wheeler, interim vice president of academic affairs. “Students learn about themselves and each other as they study and emerge as graduates with a compelling story about their learning and where they are headed.”
“Reinhardt’s vision is the be a University Where Diverse Talents Grow Together,” stated President Mark Roberts, Ph.D. “The Diverse Talents and Scholars Program is one way we ensure this vision becomes reality.”
A second Day for Diverse Talents and Scholars takes place on December 5, 2025.
