True to a tradition dating back over 25 years, the Reinhardt University campus took a break from academics on April 10th to celebrate Spring Day.  With the day’s classes cancelled and ideal spring weather, hundreds of students, staff, and faculty played, danced, and recharged before the final stretch of the semester.

The carnival-like atmosphere featured fun-filled activities, including inflatables, a disc jockey, a mechanical bull, a water slide, and a rock-climbing wall. Tried and true games like cornhole were set up for friendly competition. Cotton candy, ice cream and other festive foods brought delight like a childhood trip to the fairgrounds.

TriBeta, the biology honor society, organized a pie throwing contest. Open voting for the pie throwing targets resulted in Dean of Students Walter May becoming the primary recipient, along with biology professors John Barrows and Kylie Stover, and several athletic coaches. Faculty also took turns throwing pies at willing students.

It was a perfect way to unwind, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate the spirit of spring before the final push toward exams and commencement.
