Hundreds of Reinhardt students and employees filled campus green spaces on April 9, 2026, as classrooms closed for the annual Spring Day and International Culture Festival. These treasured traditions offered a variety of activities to unwind and recharge before the final three weeks of academic projects and exams.
Enjoying ideal Spring weather, attendees navigated inflatable obstacle courses, danced to a disc jockey, climbed a rock wall, rode a mechanical bull, and played outdoor games. A dunk tank drew huge crowds, as students plunged Dean of Students Walter May, Chaplain Grant Perry, and multiple athletic coaches into the water. A balloon artist, ice cream floats, hot dogs, and hamburgers added to the day’s enjoyment.
Biology Instructor Kylie Stover, Women’s Lacrosse Coach Morgan McGhee, and Matthew Bowman (RU-2026) received the most votes and became willing targets of being pied in the face as part of a fundraiser organized by the TriBeta biological honor society.
During dinner, the W. Frank and Evelyn J. Gordy Dining Center evolved into a world traveling showcase. As the University Jazz Ensemble performed, dozens of booths depicted the countries and customs of Reinhardt students from around the world and a buffet provided an opportunity to sample global cuisine.
International students currently enrolled represent over 21 countries.
