Reinhardt University’s commencement ceremony is just two weeks away, with students, families, and faculty looking forward to a day filled with celebration, reflection, and achievement. The milestone moment for over 270 graduates takes place on May 1, 2026. Honored to be the keynote speaker, Georgia Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones will offer words of encouragement and insight to the Class of 2026.

Jones is a businessman and community leader, as well as a former state senator who championed initiatives focused on higher education and expanding workforce opportunities for Georgians. His perspective on leadership, perseverance, and public service intends to resonate with graduates preparing to enter the professional landscape.

Before launching his business and political career, Jones was a student-athlete at University of Georgia. His journey underscores the value of commitment inside and outside the classroom. “I look forward to meeting with students and their families as they prepare for the next milestone in their lives,” said Lt. Governor Burt Jones. “These graduates are the future of our state, and I wish them nothing but the best as they pursue the various workforce opportunities that already exist across our state and create new businesses of their own. Georgia’s future is bright because of students and families like these, and I look forward to sharing a few remarks, laughs, and memories with them.”

The upcoming Commencement also includes student reflections by graduating seniors Daniela Rangel and Matthew Bowman. As graduation day approaches, the University community eagerly awaits a ceremony that celebrates academic success and inspires graduates to pursue impactful futures.
