Reinhardt student leaders, student organizations, and advisors were honored at the Spring 2025 Student Affairs Awards and Recognition Ceremony, held on April 15th. The event recognized students’ outstanding efforts and remarkable contributions to a vibrant campus community, fostering scholarship, leadership, service, and a strong sense of belonging. Additionally, the Student Government Association (SGA) members transitioned its leadership to the incoming, newly elected board.

Highlights of the evening included Cassidy Howell (RU-2026), named Student Leader of the Year, an honor reflecting her dedication and inspirational, motivational, and forward-thinking leadership. Her involvement includes serving as an orientation leader, a housing assistant with Residence Life, and as a proactive contributor to Campus Ministries. Whenever she is asked, she steps up to serve.

The Business Club, which displayed a notable growth in student engagement, received the Outstanding Student Organization of the Year Award. As a new student organization, the Business Club proactively provided its members with professional guest speakers, a full-day visit to the Coca-Cola Company’s world headquarters, and practical tips for their resumes, interviews, and future careers,  Russell Fletcher, professor of business, was honored with the Outstanding Student Organization Advisor of the Year Award in recognition of his commitment to the club’s success.

Campus Ministries, Residence Life, Fraternity and Sorority Life, the Student Activities Council, Public Safety, and the Office of Prevention and Awareness (OPA) each recognized individuals and organizations for their exceptional efforts to promote engagement and cultivate a healthy, engaging campus experience. One such award was the Campus Prevention Project (CPP) Leadership Award bestowed upon Destiny Newson (RU-2027), crediting her successful initiatives to cultivate a culture of positive behavior in mental health and social well-being.

The ceremony concluded with a celebration of the outgoing SGA members and the official induction of the new executive board.
