With graduation just three weeks away, many Reinhardt students seek employment or summer work opportunities. On April 9th, the University hosted its annual Career Connection Expo, which brought together dozens of students and employers. Organized by Reinhardt’s Office of Vocation and Career Services in partnership with Goodwill of North Georgia, the expo provided a wide array of industries for students to explore.
Cybersecurity alumnus Solomon Lightfoot (RU-2023) credits a previous Expo for landing his current job. While staffing the Courier Express booth at this year’s Expo, Lightfoot shared his journey, “A couple of years ago, I came to the table, learned about the company, sent in my resume, and utilized my connections to tour the corporate office. I was invited to interview, and the rest is history.” Lightfoot started as a corporate analyst in the Courier Express management training program and is now a network engineer.
Throughout the academic year, Reinhardt’s Office of Vocation and Career Services supports students’ career development with programs designed to support career attainment. These include resume and interview workshops, expert-led panels, and the RU Leads professional development leadership program. Additionally, students receive a career newsletter filled with valuable advice, job postings, and upcoming career fairs.
