Over sixty student-athletes representing five Reinhardt University athletic teams, alongside a group of education majors, volunteered at the annual Cherokee County Disability Awareness Games (CCDA). The events on October 24, 2025, at Creekview High School in Canton, Georgia, began with the national anthem, a torch run, and a parade of athletes. Eagles from cross country, basketball, lacrosse, cheerleading, football, and the Price School of Education facilitated each event while helping and encouraging participants to do their best.
Reinhardt has proudly partnered with CCDA since 2018. Competitors loved having collegiate athletes as their mentors. Likewise, Reinhardt volunteers felt joy in making an impact and creating memories.
“Volunteering at the Cherokee County Disability Awareness Games is always a valuable experience for our teams,” stated Men’s Basketball Associate Head Coach Dylan Bohling. “We have a great time interacting with the participants and helping out. It is a rewarding event that I look forward to attending each year.”
