The inaugural Summer Bridge Program at Reinhardt provided a significant opportunity to help new students make a smooth and successful transition to college life. From July 20 through August 3, 2025, 20 incoming first-year students moved onto campus early to get a jump start on their Reinhardt experience.
Academically, participants attended and completed college courses in writing and American government. Interactive workshops focused on essential skills, such as time management, study strategies, healthy habits, and navigating University resources. Additional activities included museum visits and game nights to build camaraderie while becoming familiar with campus life. The group also volunteered time to a playground project at the Waleska United Methodist Church.
“We were excited to kick off our very first Summer Bridge Program at Reinhardt University,” conveyed Summer Bridge Coordinator Sam Watts. “Our goal is for students to feel confident, connected, and prepared heading into the Fall. We saw them grow and thrive throughout the program and look forward to seeing this continue during the rest of their time at Reinhardt.”
A Title III grant from the U.S. Department of Education and contributions from individual donors provided support for the new Summer Bridge Program.
