In its second year on campus, the student section club called “The Nest” is bringing Reinhardt students together to support one another’s activities. Through social media, the Nest created an online community to encourage community unity.

Macy Fulton, a junior and lacrosse player, serves as the organization’s Vice President and Director of social media. She says athletes should do more than support their own teammates, “We want to bring students together and have a more connected campus and uplift each other in their other activities.” Fulton says it’s disappointing to have empty stands at a game. “The main intention of The Nest is to get that support. We encourage each other and incentivize each other to get out and support all the other teams.”

The Nest has expanded beyond sports this fall, partnering with musical theater, senior projects, Campus Ministries, and other extra-curricular groups. Led by Jason Marx who serves as President, The Nest has been successful and keeps growing through new partnerships and student involvement. There are dozens of groups and sports, but we are all one RU.
