Reinhardt University is coming to Dalton/Whitfield County on Tuesday, Oct. 30 to in hopes of attracting prospective students, alumni and friends to experience something of the Reinhardt spirit during a daylong ”Reinhardt Day in Dalton.”

Starting with a free breakfast at Dalton First United Methodist Church and concluding with a reception at Dalton Country Club, Reinhardt welcomes everyone to attend one or more event.

“We are excited about Reinhardt Day in Dalton,” said Julie Fleming, vice president for enrollment management. “Reinhardt has strong ties to the Dalton community, and this day is dedicated to sharing more about the exciting things happening at the University. We will connect with trustees, alumni, friends, parents, partners in education and prospective students throughout the day to showcase ‘Reinhardt on the Rise.’”

The day begins with a free breakfast at Dalton First United Methodist Church at 7:30 a.m. where Reinhardt President Kina S. Mallard will speak about the many offerings at Reinhardt. Admissions and financial aid staff will be on hand to meet with prospective students – both traditional and non-traditional.

Reinhardt University staff will be found around town throughout the day at area high schools and visiting Dalton area businesses.

A chance to learn more about Reinhardt University’s health science offerings will be available at a meet and greet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mack Gaston Community Center on N. Fredrick Street.

A late afternoon reception will be held at Dalton Country Club beginning at 4:30 p.m. at which Dr. Mallard will once again speak about today’s Reinhardt University. Alumni, as well as friends and supporters, are invited to join Dr. Mallard and other senior University leaders for appetizers and beverages.

For prospective students not able to make it out to the breakfast, the Admissions staff will be on hand at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, located on Walnut Avenue, from 6 to 8 p.m. to answer questions, and to buy a doughnut for those attending.
