Workforce Wednesdays

Sponsored by the Office of Vocation & Career Services, the Workforce Wednesday Series is an opportunity for students to discover the different paths they can take within different fields, and to meet a variety of companies that involve work in diverse areas.

Employer representatives will be informing students about their career journeys, their organizations, and different types of employment opportunities available. Students will also have the chance to ask questions during the Q&A.

This is your chance to discover how you can fit your interests and major into real-world industries and begin charting the direction of your future career.

Workforce Wednesday Series - Fall 2021

  • Entrepreneurship | Wednesday, Sept 22, 7pm | Hoke O’Kelley Auditorium, Burgess

    This session introduces key issues in entrepreneurship for those looking to start a business on their own. What does it take to build and grow a business from scratch? What personal characteristics are shared by successful entrepreneurs? What types of resources are available to budding entrepreneurs, and where can you find them? Learners will have the answers to those questions and others that are essential to the success of their businesses.

    Healthcare is one of the fastest-growing industries today, featuring many different positions with unique educational requirements; while science careers span multiple disciplines, including space sciences, earth sciences, life sciences, chemistry, and physics. Science professionals can be found in most sectors and industries, including government, healthcare, and education. Learn about these wonderful career opportunities and pathways.
