Students are busy rehearsing ‘Brigadoon’ for its opening night on Sept. 29.

Flint Hall at Falany Performing Arts Center will soon be transformed into a Scottish fantasyland as Reinhardt University students present “Brigadoon.”

Tommy Albright (played by Nik Griffo) and Jeff Douglas (played by Christian Gates) go in search of answers to their lives when they come across a town that only appears every 100 years. They find Fiona MacLaren (played by Victoria Hill) and Meg Brockie (played by Mikensely Clayton) in Brigadoon.

“There is a lot of fun Scottish music, kilts, lots of choreography, big group scenes, tumbling and acrobatics,” said musical director Brian Osborne. “There is a lot of visual display in the choreography. It’s going to be a great show.”

The musical includes a full orchestra made up of all Reinhardt University students. Theatre Program Coordinator David Nisbet is the director while choreography is created by adjunct dance instructor Tiffany Tindall. Technical Director and set designer is faculty member Morgan Brooks, and Jan Nisbet, wife of David Nisbet, is designing the costumes.

Brigadoon will be performed Friday, Sept. 29, through Sunday, Oct. 1. There are two matinees: 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Evening shows are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets cost $12.50 and are available in advance at Reinhardt.tix.com or by calling the box office at (770) 720-9167. For more information about the 2017-18 season, visit Reinhardt.edu/FPAC.
