Family Weekend

We look forward to welcoming you and your family for the 2009 Family Weekend, October 2-3.

Reinhardt would like to invite you to to join the Reinhardt family for a weekend of activities and bonding here on our main campus in Waleska, Georgia.  The weekend will start off with the always fabulous Miss Reinhardt Competition on Friday night.  On Saturday, you can enjoy the Fall Festival with music, inflatable attractions and other activities.  The weekend's festivities will conclude with the Student Talent Show!

Friday, October 2

Miss Reinhardt Competition
Concert Hall, Falany Performing Arts Center
7-9 pm

The competition is open to young women who are full-time Reinhardt students in their sophomore, junior or senior year.  Contestants compete in academic excellence, commitment to community, talent, interview and evening gown categories.  Miss Reinhardt 2008 will represent the college at a variety of events in and around North Georgia.

Saturday, October 3

Arboretum Grand Opening Ceremony
Burgess Arboretum
10 am-12 pm

Check-in & Hospitality
Front Lawn, James & Sis Brown Athletic Center
11 am-3 pm    

The hospitality tent will be the place to check-in and to pick up your Welcome Packet with an updated weekend schedule and a campus map.

Varsity Lunch
Front Lawn, James & Sis Brown Athletic Center
11 am-2 pm    

"What'll ya ha-ave?"  The Varsity will be on hand to provide a picnic lunch for attendees, who can receive a meal ticket upon checking in at the Hospitality Tent.  Students, faculty, staff and their family members will eat for free.

Fall Festival
Front Lawn, James & Sis Brown Athletic Center
11 am-3 pm     

Music!  Good food!  Inflatable Attractions!  Carnival Games!  Reinhardt students work hard; they also play hard.  The Fall Festival offers Reinhardt students and their families fun-filled activities including music, carnival games, inflatable attractions, a mechanical bull, funnel cake and more.  Plenty of opportunities to frolic are in the offing for the young and young-at-heart alike.

Women's Soccer Game

Dinner
W. Frank & Evelyn J. Gordy Center
5-6:30 pm        

Family members are invited to enjoy their student's dining experience.  There will be a small charge for all family members and guests who are not on a meal plan.

Student Talent Show
Falany Performing Arts Center
7-9 pm               

Enjoy an evening of entertainment at the Student Talent Show!  Whether your student performs or not, you are sure to take pleasure in this event.  Because there is limited seating in the Concert Hall of the Falany Performing Arts Center, we recommend that you arrive early as seating is on a first come, first serve basis.
