Air National Guard Band of the South Presenting FREE Concert at Falany Performing Arts Center

Originally formed in 1946, the Air National Guard Band of the South was activated for federal service with the 116th Air Control Wing on October 10, 1950. In 1953, the Georgia Air National Guard reformed the band with Chief Warrant Officer John Love as Commander, a position he held until his retirement in 1960. Under his leadership, the band achieved recognition as the best Air National Guard band in the United States. One of eleven Air National Guard bands, the Band of the South provides music for military ceremonies, official protocol functions, and recruiting and retention events, and community relations.
In addition, the Performing Arts Center will present an exciting season including the four series listed below.
The Entertainment Series includes theatre, dance, comedy, nostalgia programs and tributes to memorable figures and artists.
The Concert Artist Series brings world-class international prize-winning musicians to enrich the cultural experience of the College’s music majors, as well as our community.
The Georgia Artist Series showcases of the state’s finest ensembles and artists.
The Eulene Holmes Murray Department of Music Series features performances by Reinhardt's talented music students and organizations.You can buy tickets to the entire season, a series, or selected performances.
