During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, people around the world were required to stay at home in hopes of slowing the spread of the virus. While we continue to fight the virus and slow its spread, Reinhardt University has developed new ways to educate from a distance.
With the end of the Spring 2020 semester taking place through distance learning, Reinhardt’s faculty and students learned to adapt teaching and learning styles. Now that social distancing has become the “new normal,” Reinhardt has created learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.
The office of Professional Studies and Graduate Admissions began hosting free webinars this summer to engage students and the community with information on everything from budgeting to sport leadership. Reinhardt’s faculty have offered lessons from courses taught in professional studies and at the graduate-level.
The webinars offer a new facet to the many remote educational opportunities. A variety of online degree programs are offered at Reinhardt University, including an Associate and Bachelor of Business Administration, Associate of Science in Criminal Justice (with Police Academy option), Bachelor of Criminal Justice and Bachelor of Healthcare Administration.
Reinhardt has also been altering events typically held in-person and on campus in order to maintain safe and healthy protocols. New Student Orientation is introducing incoming Eagles to campus via Zoom, and the School of Performing Arts is hosting the 2020 Musical Theatre Intensive online.
As Reinhardt University works to overcome challenges and obstacles while learning to adapt to new protocols, our focus is on protecting the larger Reinhardt community. The hard work and cooperation of faculty, staff and students continues to drive the Reinhardt spirit no matter how Eagles gather together.
