Where Can I Study Between Classes?

- Hill Freeman Library – Study‑friendly and social spaces on every floor with tables, seating, computers, and printers, plus a commuter‑friendly kitchenette lounge, 24‑hour vending area, and an outdoor balcony overlooking Cobb Commons.
- Hasty Student Life Center – A central hub with several places to relax and gather, including the Bannister Glasshouse, Talon Rec Room, atrium, coffee shop, and nearby patios and firepit.
- Lawson & Tarpley Academic Complex – Comfortable lobbies and breezeways designed for gathering, studying, or relaxing, featuring seating and convenient plug‑ins for devices.
- Dobbs Science Center – The DNA Lobby in the Dobbs Atrium provides tables and a kitchenette, making it a practical and welcoming space for commuters.
- Smith Johnston Hall – Home to the Student Health Center and Food Pantry, with a welcoming lobby and a peaceful courtyard for students.

Where Can I Eat While On Campus?

- Gordy Dining Center – The Gordy Dining Hall is a staple of RU dining. Here, you will find a variety of things to eat options including Homestyle favorites at Main Plate, Grilled delights at J. Clark’s Grille, Fresh made pizza at Villa Toscana, options for vegan and vegetarians, plus gluten-free options, and Local favorites, and much more
- The Nook – Our late-night eatery is in the Hasty Student Life Center. You can enjoy a full line of beverages, burgers, pizza, wings, fries, and more!
- Starbucks Coffeeshop – Need a pick-me-up? Our baristas serve Starbucks drinks such as hot and cold coffee, espresso, tea, and Frappuccinos. You’ll also find breakfast sandwiches, pastries, snacks, and grab-and-go items.
- Meal Plans – Commuting students may purchase a commuter meal plan through the Business Office. Each entry is equivalent to one swipe. Entries do NOT roll over between semesters.
- Kitchenettes – For your convenience, kitchenettes which include refrigerators and microwaves are available for student use in the Dobbs Atrium and Hill Freeman Library.
- Vending machines – Vending machines are located across campuses, providing snack food and drink variety. Vending locations include Hill Freeman Library, Burgess Administration Building, Lawson Academic Center, Dobbs Science Center, Brown Athletic Cener as well as each of the residence halls and apartments.
How Can I Get Involved On Campus?
Being an active and engaged student contributes to greater academic success and career opportunities. Studies show that students who engage with other students in activities and events outside the classroom are more successful than those who do not. Plus, your student fees support activities and events occurring on campuses daily, so take advantage of everything available.
Visit Reinhardt Involve (Involve) to find the many events happening every day on each campus as well as information on student clubs and organizations you can join. Sign in to track your involvement, sort events to find free food or swag, and explore ways to get connected.
Can I Access Student Health Services?
While many commuting students may already have off-campus resources that support your well-being, remember that all on-campus services are also available to you. You may already be connected with a physician, counselor, local gym, etc., but that doesn’t mean you can’t also take advantage of everything Reinhardt has to offer!
- Northside Fitness Center – Whether you have been working out for a long time or you are just getting started, Reinhardt’s Northside Hospital Fitness Center in the Brown Athletic Center is the place for you. This Fitness Center has a full range of equipment including treadmills, stair steppers, elliptical machines and free weights.
- Campus Recreation – Reinhardt offers robust sports clubs, intramural sports as well as hiking & biking trails, disc golf course, and hammock pods for student use.
- Student Health Center – The Student Health Center is available for regular appointments to treat minor illnesses and injuries and to provide assessment, referral and preventive care, as well as to share health-related educational materials. In addition to our on-campus Student Health Center in the Smith Johnston Hall, Reinhardt students have 24/7 access to access to teletherapy, telemedicine and wellness programming available through Uwill. You log into Uwill at app.uwill.com to book teletherapy, telemedical appointments, and participate in tele-wellness programs.
- Food Pantry – The Food Pantry offers free food and hygiene products.
Can I access Academic Support as a Commuter?
Reinhardt University offers numerous academic resources to ensure the academic success of all students.
- Academic Support Office – Is Reinhardt’s accommodation program that ensures access and support for students with documented disabilities. Staffed with full and part-time faculty, this highly successful program supports students as they strive to master college-level work and pursue their academic goals.
- Tutoring Center – The Tutoring Center located in the Hill Freeman Library provides one-on-one, in-person tutoring. If you have tutoring needs for any subject, need advice on communicating with professors, have scheduling problems, need assistance with textbook acquisition, or even need to understand Canvas better, we can help!
Where Can I Store My Belongings On Campus?
The University makes lockers available to students to facilitate the daily storage of their learning materials and items related to their studies. These lockers offer a secure and convenient place to store your belongings. Lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Lockers can be found in the following facilities:
- Dobbs Science Center
- Falany Performing Arts Center
- Hill Freeman Library (Coming Soon)
There is ample, convenient, and free parking for students and staff at Reinhardt.
- Parking Permits – If you plan to have a car on campus, you must apply for a parking permit from Public Safety.
- Available Lots – Parking is available for commuter students in five locations: the commuter lot, which is directly across the street from the Burgess Administration Building, the Hagan Chapel and Falany Performing Arts Center parking lots and the Brown Athletic Center parking lot.
